Give a little bit of your time ... EVERY day PDF Print E-mail

As a Sorority, alpha Kappa Delta Phi strives to serve our community to the best of our abilities. We have received the Excellence in Service Award four years in a row from the Asian Student Council. Aside from all of our philanthropy work for Breast Cancer Awareness, we have also participated in a number of other community service activities such as:

  • Donating and handing out stuffed animals to children at St. Peter’s Hospital
  • Tsunami Relief tabling and meal swipe with Tzu Chi International Relief
  • Collaborative Coffee House with First Light (2005) and LiNK (2006) to raise money for Tsunami Relief
  • TOPOFF 3 Bioterrorism Exercise at St. Peter’s Hospital
  • Annual Rutgers University Dance Marathon serving the Institute for Children with Cancer and Blood Disorders
  • Elijah’s Promise Soup Kitchen
  • Minority Bone Marrow drives
  • Red Cross Blood Drives
  • Raritan River clean-up

Each year we strive to increase the number of community service events that we are involved in. It is the belief of all of the sisters at Rutgers University’s alpha Kappa Delta Phi that we reach out a little every day and continue to take the necessary steps in improving the community.

(If you are interested in co-hosting or having us participate or attend your service event, please contact our Vice President of Community Service.)
