Fall07 Mu Class Mommy PDF Print E-mail

In the Fall 2007 semester I had the honor of being pledge educator to the M-azing Mu Class. While the task was not easy, especially with eighteen credits on hand and an active role in alpha Kappa Delta Phi, with the help and support from pledge assistant Michelle "Callista" Chang along with the rest of the active house, we were able to watch, guide, and mold the Mu class into confident, strong-willed, and well-rounded leaders. While these girls completed their journey as renewed, more passionate, and determined individuals, these were qualities that they already possessed, qualities we all already have. However, through aKDPHI, they were able to make both their inner beauties and strengths shine more than ever. No words can truly explain the feeling of watching these beautiful and intelligent women cross the line into sisterhood. They stepped outside of their own boundaries, learned that hard work and determination does have its rewards, and proved to us, as well as themselves time and time again that heart means everything. I am proud to call Jane "moon*light" Choe, Amy "A*krya" Tsai, and Peggy "Cascada" Yu my babies, and most of all, our sisters. I, as well as the rest of the sisters of the chapter only hope that these three extraordinary women will continue to grow, dream, and achieve in the way of a KDPHI. After all, if you are given the chance to be a part of something bigger, something inspirational, and life-changing, why not take it?

Message from the President

Welcome to the homepage of Rutgers University alpha Kappa Delta Phi Sorority, Inc.! Here you can find information on all of our sisters, both active and graduate, as well as the newest updates on what our chapter is up to these days. I hope this site helps you in getting to know our sisters a little better, but most importantly, helps you find what you're looking for - a great college experience in alpha Kappa Delta Phi!

I learned about aKDPhi during my sophomore year at Rutgers, and along with the name, I heard about the numerous reasons why joining a sorority could benefit me and my future. I learned that I could meet a lot of people through an organization like this, and at the same time put something down on my resume to help me with my career in finance. When I went to rush in the fall semester of 2006, I realized that alpha Kappa Delta Phi was so much more than just a group of girls you see at some parties - these women taught me how to manage my time and academics, and provided me with opportunities to give back to my community. The women of aKDPhi gave me the sisterhood that I have always hoped for but was never lucky enough to have. And most importantly, alpha Kappa Delta Phi helped me understand my full potential, and brought out that drive and passion in me to continuously better myself and push myself to achieve my goals. I learned that this sorority isn't just any sorority - it's aKDPhi.

With Love,
Wendy Tang
