What is aKDPhi without sisterhood? What is SORORITY life without sisterhood? The answer is nothing.
Sisterhood is the foundation with which we have built our chapter on.
For all of us, alpha Kappa Delta Phi has become our second home and it is
because of that bond, that we can call ourselves a genuine sisterhood.
Every
minute spent together, whether working, in business, or hanging out,
is just another chance for us to grow closer. Separate from our everyday lives,
we host a variety of sisterhood events to set aside time to just spend
time with one another without thinking about the stresses of school and studying.

There are currently 11 chapters within the North East Region.
During the course of one school year, we hold a variety of annual sisterhood retreats
and conferences where everybody in the region gathers together for a weekend of activities and fun.
Our annual Fall and Spring events are known as the North East Sisterhood Rally and
North East Sisterhood Conference, respectively, and are hosted by different chapters every semester.
Regionally, sisters attend one another’s sisterhood, service, cultural, and academic events
on a monthly basis. It is not unusual for our chapter to road trip five or six more times,
apart from our annual events, to member chapters across the North East region.
Likewise, we host fellow aKDPhi chapters at Rutgers very often.

There are currently 48 chapters nationwide and now international, stretching from the West Coast, South West,
Mid West and across to the East Coast – making us the largest and most
geographically diversified Asian American sorority nationally.
One of the greatest part about being an aKDPhi sister is being able to visit other cities
and states and know that you will be taken care of by your fellow sisters there.
During Memorial Weekend of every year, aKDPhi hosts our annual convention held at a different chapter.
2005 was hosted by Houston, TX, 2006 was hosted in Irvine, CA, and 2007 was hosted in San Jose, CA.
Apart from our annual convention, there are other annual events that are hosted throughout the nation
that we take part in. As sisters of this sorority, we are so proud and honored to be a part of such a time old
tradition and sorority as alpha Kappa Delta Phi. The opportunities for networking and friendships are endless.

We would be happy to hear from you! Keep checking back to our "Events" page to view upcoming events, parties, and updates from sisters. You will be amazed at the amount of work we do for our university and community, and the dedication and passion we have to represent our four letters: alpha Kappa Delta Phi.

As we start the new school year, we hope that you will take a look at our "Rush" Section to learn more about our recruitment period, which is coming up in less than a week! Everything is FREE, there are NO OBLIGATIONS and rides will be provided everywhere! It is a great time to get to know other students on campus, as well as the sisters of our wonderful sorority. We will also be hosting mixers throughout rush week with other on-campus organizations, so be on the look out for those, as well! You can find the rush schedule and our flyers under the "Events" or "Rush" sections. If we don't see you out at rush, we wish everybody a great fall semester!
